As old as the college, it is the Department of English.
In 2012, B.A. English literature was introduced,realizing the need for the study of English language. The department has the unique pride of serving rural
students from economically backward & socially challenged. On these grounds, the Department extended its PG, offering the students to Master their Language
and Literature quest to comprehend the subject better. The department of English involves teaching Communicative English connected with all the programmes
offered in the College. The department contains thebest academics specialized in the areas of British Literature, African-American Literature, Commonwealth
Literature, Indian Literature and Communicative English. The faculties are cooperative, competitive, Helping, and knowledgeable.Faculties and Students of the
Department of English have been instrumental in many academic and cultural events. Annually there is Literary Association Fest to kindle the young minds in
the arena of Extempore to shed off the fear, Drama to face the audience confidently and various other activities.

We seek to foster knowledge and a love of literature and of language in our students. We provide students
in all emphasis areas with a coherent curricular framework and relevant, well-structured course choices. We teach students to speak, read, and write effectively.

Mission of the English Department is to provide job oriented education, to develop professional skills,
to give Training and research facilities, to create an agreeable environment for rural youth to enrich their capabilities and make them as responsible
citizens by providing Ethical, Moral and Social values. The English Department strengthens the students by developing a deepened understanding of language
and literacy and the richness of literature.
